Tailored Small Group GMAT Focus & GRE Instruction

Led by our most experienced GMAT Focus and GRE tutors, including our Director of Instruction - Stefan Maisnier, MyGuru Small Group tutoring is tailored to groups of 3-6 students with similar test dates and skill levels. Rather than arbitrarily connecting people from different backgrounds simply because they have similar schedule availability, MyGuru works with non-profit MBA candidate groups such as Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) and colleges such as Northeastern Illinois University to ensure that students with similar goals and needs are brought together for a truly customized test prep experience. Furthermore, by working with individuals who have similar goals, students themselves can help foster improvement in between lessons through study groups and by sharing documents to review homework together.

Uniquely Engaging Virtual Tutoring

Using dynamic online whiteboarding tools in a virtual meeting environment that requires no equipment other than an internet connected computer with a microphone and camera, MyGuru Small Group GMAT Focus and GRE tutoring features both content review and live practice problems primarily from official ETS practice materials directly from the test makers. Using this parallel track of instruction, our instructors explain how particular strategies and tactics can be used for future problems with similar content.

The instructor's live-produced whiteboard notes are then shared as a static .pdf after every session and each lesson is recorded for students as a backup if they are absent for any reason. Over time, the notes and recordings become a supplementary "textbook" of tactics and content to review that is unique to each group's customized lesson plan and learning style that isn't available anywhere else.
