John Easter Joins MyGuru as Managing Tutor for Test Prep

MyGuru is excited to announce that John Easter has joined the team as Managing Tutor for Test Prep.  John is a seasoned tutor who has been helping students prepare for the ACT, SAT, GRE, and GMAT for the past 10 years.

John graduated from Indiana University with dual degrees in English and Math.  While at Indiana John spent three years tutoring privately and designed and marketed proprietary materials to help undergraduate students pass their core math classes.  These math workbooks were sold at Indiana University’s official book store.  Afterwards, John actually started and actively managed his own private tutoring company in Bloomington, IN for several years.

John has worked with the Princeton Review and Manhattan GMAT, and at this point has been tutoring students privately for over a decade.  In several of these roles, he was trained as an expert tutor and was responsible for training other tutors.  John also worked as a content Guru for BenchPrep, a unique provider of online and mobile tutoring and test prep solutions .

After Indiana John moved to Chicago, where he became a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  During this time John became a recognized expert in GRE and GMAT tutoring after taking and scoring in the 99^th percentile on both tests.  John enjoys working with students of all skill levels to help them perform at their personal best.

In his new role at MyGuru John will be responsible for training tutors and coordinating new student/tutor relationships, as well as continuing to tutor himself.  He will also be tasked with Managing MyGuru’s blogs for the ACT, SAT, GRE, and GMAT.  John may also help MyGuru develop its own set of proprietary test prep materials for the GRE and GMAT.
