Over the course of that period, Michael has worked with students ranging from ages 8 to 22 on standardized tests including the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, ISEE, and other state-specific exams as well as individual subjects ranging from basic reading comprehension to Algebra 2 to essay writing, and much much more. His success helping students across such a wide age range to maximize their potential on so many subjects comes from Michael's fundamental approach of customizing a curriculum and teaching style based on each student's individual needs.   Students typically love working with Michael because of his sense of humor and firm command of necessary subject matter, and he has helped motivated students increase ACT scores by as much as 9 points and SAT scores by as much as 400 points.   *Test scores*: GRE: 332, GMAT: 740, ACT: 36, SAT: 1560 (out of 1600)   For more information on the various subjects Michael tutors, see below:   - [SAT](https://www.myguruedge.com/sat-prep-package) - [ACT](https://www.myguruedge.com/customizedact-tutoring) - [GRE](https://www.myguruedge.com/gre-test-prep) - [GMAT](https://www.myguruedge.com/gmat-prep) - [SSAT](https://www.myguruedge.com/ssat-test-prep-0) - [ISEE](https://www.myguruedge.com/isee-test-prep-0-0)   ![](https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/viewthroughconversion/1024210668/?value=0&label=RNTBCNrfvQQQ7O2w6AM&guid=ON&script=0) [![Request a Tutor | Academic Tutors](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/215486/766b072a-be46-483b-80c4-b8919506919d.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/215486/766b072a-be46-483b-80c4-b8919506919d) *Founded in 2009 by several graduate school students at Northwestern University, MyGuru designs customized study plans to help students build foundational academic skills, learn critical test-taking strategies, and have the confidence to perform well on standardized tests.
