MyGuru has assembled a team with impressive educational backgrounds, strong interpersonal skills, and many years of tutoring and teaching experience as private tutors, teaching assistants, or PhD students.  Each has at least three years of tutoring or teaching experience and high test scores and has received positive feedback from previous students, which we’d be happy to share.  Our goal is to build a small team of highly experienced and extremely impressive tutors - it is not to build a huge database of tutors with varying levels of quality.

MyGuru’s tutors can cover almost any subject: Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Regular Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Nursing, History, English, Sociology, Accounting & Finance, and more.  We take pride in helping students find excellent tutors in subject areas for which it can sometimes be difficult to find a good tutor.

We can also help college students with 1-1 help for the: GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT.  Our approach is to provide simple test prep packages centered around an excellent tutor who has had years of test prep experience at places like Kaplan, the Princeton Review, etc.  The tutor will have had scored in the 95th percentile or better.  The tutor works with students in a highly customized manner using an off-the-shelf test prep book, addressing specific strengths and weaknesses.  MyGuru also provides practice tests, guidelines and simple training for the tutor to follow, and in some cases, supplementary online practice questions.
